The Flowers Sea Swim is the world's richest open water event with over US$100,000 in cash and random prizes. Finishers are guaranteed 1-in-5 random prize odds.

In 2010, prizes include airline tickets to Los Angeles, London, Toronto, Brazil, Dublin, and Australia plus a Caribbean Cruise!

Awards

Trophies are awarded to the top 4 women's and top 4 men's finishers. Each swimmer who finishes the race in the allotted time receives a medal.

Winning man and woman receive return ticket to defend their title.

Prize Money

US$25,000 will be awarded to the swimmer who breaks the record for the world's fastest recorded ocean mile. US$5,000 is awarded for setting a new event record. The times to beat are: Men's world record: 16:00 mins; Women's world record: 17:21; Men's event record: 17:20; Women's event record: 18:13.
