SWIMMERS MUST CHECK IN BETWEEN 1:00 AND 1:45pm, ON RACE DAY AT THE RITZ TO HAVE RACE NUMBER MARKED ON SHOULDER, AND TO COLLECT CAP, WHICH MUST BE WORN FOR THE ENTIRE SWIM.
Flotation devices and/or equipment not permitted except goggles/masks, nose clip, ear plugs, swimsuit and cap.
No animals on course.
No drafting (pacing or slipstreaming.)
Standing on the bottom is permitted but walking or jumping forward is not permitted.
The race director's decision is final.
One Mile Swim cut-off time is 75 minutes from the start horn. Placing outside this time will not be recorded, and swimmer will not be eligible for awards or random prizes.
All swimmers must finish the race between the orange buoys, take a finish card and present it to the recording officials.
In case of emergency the air horn will be sounded repeatedly. Please get out of the water immediately.
Finish card must be handed into result recorders to avoid disqualification, and non eligibility for random prizes.
Entrants must be present at Awards ceremony to be eligible for random prizes.
Flowers' employees may participate, but they are not eligible for prizes.
